Worked fine but the fins on the blower wheel started falling off and i can not find a replacement wheel anywhere. The fan only works but without the lower blower it will not cool.

At first this air conditioner was absolutely amazing, definitely what you pay for. Only used it three months then it went in the closet for winter. Just went to go pull it back out and plug it in. Only to find out that it now only blows hot air. So glad I spent all that money for it not even to last a year. What a disappointment.

It definitely doesn't cool as well as it says and the heater well I feel like I wasted some money buying this for it's dual purpose as I've had to buy another space heater and even use a mr buddy because this doesn't heat up any room at all. It blows cold air instead of hot and has made my place significantly cold.

Purchase this in August for the air and heat for winter. After using it for a month for heat , the heat compl stop working. And for me to get refunded I have to purchase another unit which isn't cheap and then send in the receipt for up to 2 month wait for reimbursement.

Everything about it is pretty alright and basic. It does have an evaporative condensation aspect but it would be awesome if it had a built in condensation pump or if you could control the humidity percentage with the unit. For the dehumidifier it's purely turn on and go.

Nice unit. Not sure what its capabilities are since the add on that makes it work even better is NOT available. I would think that if your selling an item all of the parts that make it run optimally would be included. Guess GE needed an extra $100 and now cannot even make the parts available. Not completely impressed.

I purchased for emergency situations and supplemental should we need it. Removed the unit from the box and used to cool my den. Right out of the box it brought the room temp down 15 * in a few minutes. Should cool/heat our bedroom when we're on generator power.

We purchased this unit when our home ac system went down and were told it was going to be a week or so for the install of a new system; this unit kept our bedroom at 68 degrees throughout the day and made sleeping very comfortable! We would definitely recommend anyone getting this unit even as a backup just in case.

We purchased this for an addition on the home we just purchased. It has windows all around it so it's always hot (no idea why the previous owner didn't expand the AC). It did take a little time to get the room cooled off, but once it did, we have had no problems.
It does draw quite a bit of power, but we don't have it running all the time.
I would highly recommend this unit for a small room.

Compared to units that we use at my work, this is a fairly quiet unit. It's on par with or slightly quieter than the GE window unit that it is replacing which was about 2 years old. In cooling mode the unit only allows you to set the temperature down to around 64, but then it is constantly trying to evaporate the condensate so it takes a while to get cold. In dry mode (de-humidification) the regulated temperature is set to 64 and the fan is fixed on low, but it cools the room down much faster than in cool mode on high (this of course is with the heat venting through a window and a short section of garden hose going from the upper drain outlet to a bucket). The manual says to use a shallow pan to drain the water from the lower drain port, but the unit sits so low that I don't have any pans that can fit under it (would need to be a 0.5 inch lip at most to fit under the unit). On dry mode we pull about a gallon out of the air each night. The oscillating feature is nice. I have no intention on using the heat mode for this unit. A few times when we turn it on it has defaulted to heat mode, but haven't been able to correlate this with a power outage or other event yet. The supplied window vent kit doesn't seal at all in my aluminum frame windows, and I don't see how it could have for much of any other windows. I made it work with a few screws in the right place and then used one of those heat shrink draft blocker plastic and tape kits over it to get a good seal to the window. Not secure in the slightest and definitely not insulated, but it is sealed from drafts at least. I'm still waiting on the dual hose kit to ship. When I bought this I couldn't order the kit from either Lowes or from GE's website, but I was able to place a backorder for it through the GE phone order system. It's supposed to ship tomorrow, some 3 weeks after placing the order. When I get it and install it, I'll post a review on that as well. I would gladly welcome and test out any firmware updates that may be made available to correct the above issues, but without this I can't give above a 3 star rating at this time.

Bought when central ac gave out. During the hot 100 degree day periods we were having during the time it was great to be able to have a place to cool down. Our chinchillas that need lower temperatures were grateful for the cooler temps also. Thanks for a great product.

Bought this as a bridge waiting for a part to repair the home A/C. Easy to set up out of the box. This unit kept most of the main floor livable, about 1200 sq ft. In a room on it's own it would be plenty cool. I plan to use it for supplemental heat this winter.

At least it is now in my residence. Washington State homes normally don't come with A/C, many new home construction does not include one especially mine! So after 20 years and temps above 100 degrees (never heard of in Western Washington previously), we decided to purchase this model…two days later of running and now house is cooler. Recently purchased a portable air conditioner for our 4 season room. Installation was fairly easy. Biggest problem was our windows were 49" tall and the insert for the exhaust fit up to 48"; however, with the parts that were available, I was able to make it work.

We love how quiet this unit is, our old one, may it rest in peace, was super loud. Living in the PNW we don't get super high temps but high humidity, so its nice that it can dry or fan as well as AC and heat. Its so easy to move around, we tend to leave it in the livingroom the majority of the time, and when our heat spikes to 90° we take it into our bedroom for the night. Its super easy to changes locations!!

Son is moving into a converted 2 car garage w/wood burning stove. It's always been stifling in summer, but even w/just the dehumidifier on, it's cool! Concrete floor helps, too, but on 95 deg. days, this unit works beautifully. Venting to outside no problem, either. Wish I had gotten it years ago when I converted it to a "cottage"!
