So the install was a snap. The only problem is I can't within the app see water usage. I see GPM when we are using the water but no overall number of gallons through the unit. When I open the app and click on the filter I see a water usage table for a quick second and then it disappears.

We got this GE® Smart Whole House Water Filtration System a few months back. I did not think we needed one and still don't. However, I did notice the dishwasher seems to be rinsing better and less spotting on glasses and silverware. I have no idea if this is related or not. My husband is happy so I'm happy.

Installed this filter and immediately noticed that the 30 micron filter was capturing red sediment in my water. Gross! Installation wasn't hard, it essentially mounts to the wall and comes with 1'' to 3/4'' PEX fittings to drop down to the 3/4'' diameter piping required by the unit. I'm coming from PVC, so I did have to get a few extra PVC to PEX fittings, but no big deal. I'm not sure how much I'll use the connected features, but the ability to monitor water usage is really cool, I probably will appreciate that! Very much looking forward to trying out the other "intermediate" and "advanced" filter cartridges as well to see what kind of nasty junk I can filter out (we are on a well).

Got this for my sister-in-law. She lives in a mobile home. The mobile home park is a good park and well maintained. But they provide well water and they treat the water themselves. Hence we notice that the water can taste and look different from week to week. The system was pretty easy to setup, but I did have to go to the hardware store to find different adapters to get the water lines to fit. (This was more of a me issue I think). It has only been a few weeks in use and so far so good. I am excited to see how it does for an extended period of time.

Great System with Wifi Features

I've wanted a water filtration system for my home for a long time, and am so happy that I found this one. Installing it was surprisingly really easy, and only took me about 20 minutes. It uses push to connect fittings, which is so much easier than having to use a bunch of tools. I also noticed that you don't need tools to change the filter, which is a huge plus. It feels good to know that the water that my family and I drink and shower in has so much of the lead and impurities filtered out. It even has wifi features on it which is so cool. It will alert you if the faucet is left on, and you can even shut the water off using it. I definitely recommend this; everything about it is what I hoped it would be.

Easy installation if you have basic plumbing/home improvement skills. With my house increasingly "online" and connected via apps, I like that I can monitor the status with an app. And with not-so-pleasant water in Florida, the filter makes the tap and my ice cubes taste and smell much better!

The GXWH70M is of excellent performance and value. This amazing device filters the water and the additional app installed in the phone allows for excellent up to date information on my house needs. This product is compact, easy to setup and install and provides an added sense of comfort to my home needs in relation to filtered water. I am amazed at how this product connects quickly with the GE phone app to produce excellent results. I highly recommend this product. The instructions are clear however my only recommendation would be to have a video link added to be able to see the full installation as my husband searched for a YouTube video to install it correctly. Other than that, this product is a must have for every home.

This GE smart whole house water filtration system works well and the instructions made it super easy to install. The system was fully installed within an hour and really improved the taste of our water. Although that was a huge benefit, that wasn't the reason we got it. We have a newborn and wanted to make sure that the water is super gentle on their delicate skin. Our first born had psoriasis issues and we wanted to take every step we could to prevent it in our new little one. The app even reminds me when I need to replace my filter. Overall, I am very impressed by this water filtration system. Whether you're looking to improve the taste of your water and the quality of the water, this system is definitely worth getting.

The entire system is fantastic. The water tastes perfect. There is are no odors. The installation was a little challenging, but if you can get past that everything else is simple. The information you get and the filter change reminders are greatly appreciated. If you currently have a whole house filter upgrading to this is a cinch.

This unit is pretty cool very easy to install I had no problems with that what do ever. You just cut the pipe and put this in its place. I actually got better water pressure. The water filter has a little window to show you when it needs to be changed out.

Got this while house filter 2 weeks ago and am very happy with it. It was very easy to install, tool me under an hour. It doesn't take up much space and I think it works great, already the water taste better and I think even the shower cleanse better. Would definitely recommend if you have basic plumbing skills.

I didn't even know how much we needed a system like this in our home. So easy to install with the push-to-connect fittings. We live in a rural area and have issues with our water but not anymore! The smart features are so incredible and easy to use. We travel and now no more worries. We set up the notifications to alert us in case of problems. Easy to change filters. Remote shut off!! This is really the ideal solution to all of our needs!

With some investigation and perseverance we got our GE home filtration system installed and working. We are very happy with how it works and the features such as the remote water shut off. This is a " smart " system so it can be run from your phone. The filter is easy to change and it even has a leak detection system.

The GE Smart Whole House Water Filtration System, is beauty and function. The setup is easy and straight forward with quick connect fittings for PEX and copper. For galvanized, you may want to contact a plumber. It has a rotating pivot head that allows for flexibility in install with vertical or horizontal configurations. It filters the main water supply at the point of entry. It is recommended to replace the filter about every 3 months or 20 thousand gallons. It filters down to 5 micron and reduces sediment and chlorine taste and smell. There are other filters that can remove lead etc allowing you to adjust the system to your needs. Now for the smart stuff! It has an APP and is WIFI enabled. It has alerts for a running faucet (great for when we forget to turn off the faucet our cat has been using), plumbing leaks, potential freezes and filter change alerts which is amazing!

After 2 months installation unit started to leak not from the oring or filter canister it's from the actual unit. Even worst has been 3 days leaking and unit hasn't detect the leak no leak message or notification. Very confusing because the app shows if you want notification for small leaks medium or large then at the beginning pop out a warning message stated this product won't detect small leaks. I won't recommend to buy this unit. Three days has been passed and no help from support.

This whole home water filter works great. Anyone with some basic plumbing knowledge should have no problems hooking this unit up. Our water always has a smell and a little off taste. With this unit the quality of the water we get is noticeably better. Its just more crisp and the obvious off of the water flavor is little to nonexistent. It has the ability to connect to you smart phone so you can always know the condition of your filter. Everyone should have one as it is one of the best additions I've ever added to my house. Clean water should be on everyone's mind because removal of miniscule particulates can make all the difference in taste and quality of all waters not just well but also city connections can benefit from this device.

Bought and installed this product today. Install tool less than 15 minutes with slip on fittings. Very solid bracket assembly. Replaced old whole hpuse filter with this system so pipes were already in place. Note you can change the orientation of the inlet and outlet by turning the inlet/outlet assembly on the back of the head unit. Nice feature! My only complaint is the wifi setup. In the installation manual GE points you to www.geappliances/connect which prompts you to install the SmarHQ app. This is not the app you need to connect this appliance to your home network. You need the Comfort GE Appliances app to setup and use the wifi features of this appliance. That information was nowhere to be found in any documentation. It would be helpful if GE pointed customers to the correct app for their products.
