Great machine, cools fast and is very quiet. Used in a large bedroom. It replaced an old GE a/c which was 18 years old. It has lots of features and being able to turn the lights off is great instead of using a pieces of tape!

This is my second GE of this type. Love the dual fan motor design. Quiet. Display lights go out after a time (great for bedrooms). Filter access improved. Love the fact they have a removable drain plug in the condensate pan on the outside for those of us in high humidiity environments. GE clearly listens to their customers.

I bought this is May 2022 and it is doing a great job cooling my upstairs 300 sq foot bedroom. It is pretty quiet and pumps out some cold air. Having a remote is convenient, as is the ability for it to connect to the Smart HQ Smartphone App. The latter shows how much electricity it has used each day along with changing settings like temperature and fan speed. My only complaint would be the grill which directs the air flow. It only allows you to change the vertical direction. It would be nice if it also had a lever so air could be directed more to one side or the other. Now, this unit replaced a different GE Model I bought in July 2021 that lost all its refrigerant (apparently) over the winter. (GE did refund me the entire purchase price of original. ) I will update this review, if possible, if I have the same issue with this one.

We have the GE Profile quiet 8100 BTU Air Conditioner in our bedroom window, the installation was as expected. The unit is so quiet that you can not hear it when standing right outside the bedroom door, super quiet. GE Profile AC unit is conducive to a great nights sleep, cool and quiet. We love it. The only slight negative is that is heavier than other AC units in the 8k BTU range but is really, really quiet and it cools so quickly. The control is also fantastic using "Alexa", the GE SmartHQ app on my iPhone, the remote control or intuitive control panel on the front of the unit.

I have a single upstairs bedroom that gets really hot in the summer and this unit cools really well. Having the option to control the unit via the easy to use app allows me to get ahead of the heat even when I'm not at home, I'm able to do this with setting timers as well. Setting a timer to turn off at 1am helps save energy. The Energy Saver mode is very helpful and being able to monitor exactly how much KWH I am using per day in real time is great to keep track off my usage. Highly recommend for those trying to conserve their energy bill during summer months!

Had to buy this twice as the first was damaged in shipping. Not as quiet as I had hoped but pretty quiet for a window ac. Easy to install but very wide. Looks good in the window and I leave them in e save mode so it's kind of like having central air, they just kick on every once in awhile and the place stays comfortable. Bought three in different sizes and they do the whole house. App is tricky to set up but it will show energy usage. I like the HomeKit integration. Between HomeKit and the volume I can't imagine getting a different ac right now.

The GE Profile series has been a dream come true for me and my fiancé. We love the dehumidifier feature as well as the "Quiet" mode, as previous ACs would make a lot of weird noises and hums during its cycle. A lot going for it but one big flaw

This AC is quiet, easy to use, nice app and a lot else. BUT the bottom of it isn't flat. Which means you can't put it on an ac bracket. One side of the base is raised, so if you try to set it in on AC bracket it wobbles side to side and you can't shut the window flush on it.

Purchasers one for the bedroom last season. Liked it so much there is one in the living room now. The unit does a great job of cooling the room and the TV volume stays at a normal level. I bought 2 units (PHC08LY, PHC06LY) for the 2019 heating season and really enjoyed them while they lasted... Ultra-quiet, convenient integration in GE app / smart home environment, and easy to clean / maintain yearly. But here we are, as I was prepping the units for the 2022 season, I noticed that BOTH units had paint adhesion issues and extensive rust. I naively thought I could fix it, neutralize it, and repaint it, but it turns out the entire body was compromised. Paint and metal flakes could be removed by hands. My prior units lasted over 10 years, and just like my neighbors in our NY apartment building, never had such rust issues. I did contact customer service and while kind and responsive, they offered me a rebate on my next GE unit and indicated rust could simply be due to local weather... See the pictures attached, I let you be the judge. Again, BOTH of my less then 3-year-old unit suffered the same issue. Should I trust that if I buy a third or fourth one from GE the result should be any different?

In theory it is very quiet, but you have to de-install some internal part that makes the AC more energy efficient. So you either get 1. quiet OR 2. energy savings. Otherwise it's a great AC in design, functionality and cooling, of course.

I was given a GE window unit like 7 years ago it finally stopped running and I replaced with another GE. It puts the right amount of chill in the room, it is great I love it so much. I payed more to get the WiFi enabled AC, that was a joke it won't connect to anything. The iPhone software doesn't work, that part is really disappointing. The whole WiFi thing has some more work to be done!

earlier this year as it started to get hot out, i decided to get a new window ac unit to replace our old floor-standing model with the big plastic tube. my main complaint with old unit was every time it turned on the compressor was so loud it woke me up multiple times every night. i started looking for the quietest unit, and also one that i could put in the window instead of taking floor space in my tiny apartment. i chose this based off of positive wirecutter/cnet reviews. what i like about this unit: -it has a very clean/modern look -install was straightforward -very quiet and cools my room quickly a few things to note: - i have not attempted to use any of the smart features in the unit/connect it to any devices, so i can't comment on that. -when i first got this, no water came out of this unit. it's been really humid lately though, and after opening the drain, we have 3+ gallons of water dripping out of it every day. i have a bucket underneath to keep this from damaging my porch and would recommend the same to anyone else who has this located over an area they don't want constantly soaked with water. - my electric bill went from 144 kwh to 1238 kwh compared to same month last year. there are a number of factors at play here, including climate change, record heat, and my personal theory that los angeles water/power dept is scamming us, but i can't help but think this unit is in some way a factor. at the end of the day i do like the unit and would recommend. mail concern is utility spike, which who knows, may be a gross error on the part of our dwp billing. i ordered smart outlets to moniter the energy usage of this thing and will update with results after a month or so. i

The controls drive me nuts every day. If I need to change the settings, I HAVE TO TURN THE ROOM LIGHTS ON!! Because the settings light up, but the words to tell you which setting is which do NOT light up, so I have no way to tell which setting I'm choosing. The remote control is even worse - you can't read it or set it without a light. So every time I want to change it I have to completely wake up, turn on a light and set it. On top of that, it has the horrible beep - so you have to wake your spouse every time you make a change. If this machine didn't cool well and pretty quietly, I would have thrown it out the window by now.

Friend recommendation that was spot on: Truly quite, Bluetooth compatible so one can make changes from afar, slim attractive profile. When measuring for window, must use largest width measurement as a portion of the back half needs to go through the window for proper fit/balance. Also, it does not blow air through the vent in the front, but only through a vent in the top of the unit, which is unfortunate.

The a/c works wonderfully and it is quiet and powerful. Simple installation. Quite easy to pair with the iPhone ap initially, but after the a/c is powered off it will not re-pair with the app. Buy this for the a/c but don't expect the WiFi control to function.

Arrived with Wi-Fi not wiring and he service has not returned my email correspondence and dealer says it is ge who must fix - very disappointed as this is o e of main reasons purchased. Additionally is louder than expected
